Mt Sinai Academy – Prestige offers the competence based curriculum with our amazing pupils at the centre of everything we do in class.
With our dedicated team of highly qualified educators, we strive to impart key values e.g. Honesty, enthusiasm, hard work, confidence, perseverance, loyalty and love. We also place great emphasis on personal values e.g. integrity and kindness.
This section that is otherwise known as Nursery school consists of three main classes which are Playgroup, PP1 and PP2.
At the Playgroup stage where pupils are generally admitted at the age of 3, the focus is mainly on learning through play and various “free-style” activities both indoors and outdoors.
At Pre-Primary One (PP1) which is generally for children aged 4 years and Pre-Primary Two (PP2) that is meant for children aged 5 years, our passionate team of teachers puts great attention on sounds and letters at the former (PP1) with the aim of preparing our young ones for reading at the later (PP2)
Our learners generally join grade 1 where the key emphasis is on developing desirable social standards, moral and religious values. The Foundation stage 1 (FS1) for 3-4 year olds builds children’s learning skills and prepares them to be able to understand educational concepts.
The Foundation stage 2 (FS2) for 4-5 year olds enables them to read and write in preparation for Year 1 in primary school.
Play activities are at the centre of our curriculum in the early years foundation stage (EYFS). Our amazing children at Mt Sinai Academy Prestige develop social, emotional physical and creative aspects of their characters through this natural activity. Young children are active leaners. They need time to explore a variety of first hand experiences in a well planned environment.

Our school boarding experience is more than just providing a place to sleep and study. It is because of this that we have designed our boarding programmes to provide students with a unique oppotunity to develop essential life skills that prepare them for future success in college, careers and beyond.
Living away from home requires students to learn how to manage their time, prioritise their duties and make decisions for themselves. At our school the boarding environment cultivates discipline, independent learning skills and respect for others residing in student accomodation.
Boarders learn under direct supervision of a committed team of experienced educators and house supervisors. This team of adults attends to students round the clock. They create an extended school family and foster values such as independence, a sense of responsibility, community spirit, organisation and resilience in our boarding students.
Parents are at liberty to choose from three boarding packages to suit the needs of their family. There is weekly boarding, monthly boarding as well as full term boarding options.
Parents/guardians who opt for the weekly boarding option can drop their children on Monday and pick them on Friday. School transport services are also available to them to ferry their children to and from home on Monday and Friday respectively should they opt in.
Boarders enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities during weekends even as they take time to revise their classwork. Leisure time may be filled with sports tournaments, talent shows and internal games. These activities are patroned by adult boarding staff.
Regular boarding assembly is held to raise issues of concern and congratulate students who have gained outstanding achievement in their learning. Boarding mentors arrange pastoral support for students, liase with academic staff to confirm that homework requirements are met and ensure that children are happy and making progress in their education.
Daily meals are provided to boarders; they are nutritious, healthy and delicious. Children are regularly consulted to ensure their satisfaction with the school meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in the boarding house dining hall during out-of-school hours. The boarding school is also provided with enough laundry facilities.
Learning at Mt Sinai Prestige is not limited to the classroom. There are a wide range of activities our children are engaged in.
Taekwondo, skating, ballet, music and chess are just a few of the activities our children engage in on a regular basis.
We take care of our students’ health by providing different nutritious meals throughout the week. Our team is dedicated to providing your child with an organic, sumptuous balanced diet that caters for the nutritional needs that their body require.
We offer 2 meals and a snack in the afternoon. Breakfast (twice), lunch and dinner for boarders is available at a pocket-friendly fee. Our children enjoy the tasty meals!
Our school has a dedicated transport department that covers Mombasa and Kilifi counties. The charges vary as our parents have a wide range of options to choose from.
Whereas most of our parents prefer to have their children picked up at home and bussed to our school at Kwa Kadzengo and back, others have taken up the option of dropping their children at a pickup and dropoff point (our former school premises) in Mtwapa town.
Our transport charges are affordable. Kindly call the office via 0754001982 to get more information on the availability and the cost of school transport in your zone.
